This is just a scribbled page to hang the photos on... improvements to follow.
The photos are a bit big as they were scanned at printer resolution rather than web resolution (I've only printed Mary's photo so far and it comes out fine on A4 paper).
This is Mary Hamilton, born 1827, the daughter of John Hamilton of St Ernan's. Taken by Feich-Hanfstaengh Hofphotograph, Dresden.

Mary married Frederick Augustus Courbarron from the island of Jersey. They both died of typhoid in 1877 and are buried at Landulph Church near Saltash, Cornwall, England.

This is Augustus James Hamilton Courbarron (the first child of Mary & Augustus) who was born in in Millbrook, St Helier, Jersey in 1863 and died in 1904. His wife, Mary Morrissey, was born in 1867 in Killarney, Ireland. They are both buried in Sydney, Australia. John Hamilton of St Ernan's paid all his expenses while he was apprenticed at sea. An article on this guy written by Wendy will be appearing here soon.

Here's him and Mary on the SS Aparima after the fire in 1902.

Stanhope Frederick Hamilton Courbarron was Mary & Augustus' third son. He was born in Jersey in 1865. He was a graduate of Gulphs Agricultural College, Ontario, Canada. He was asphxiated and died while smoking hogs in 1899. This is him at 20. Don't know why but he looks just the picture of my Dad at about the same age.

This is John Edward Courbarron and his family in Vancouver, Canada, son of Mary & Augustus.

This is Kathleen, Winnie, Bertie and Lorna Courbarron (descended from John Edward) and Violet Butler...

And the last historic photo (for now), this is Helen Coubarron (Moody), daughter of Mary & Augustus.

And finally, some fellow researchers... Bob Marsden, his wife and the present John Hamilton.
